Privacy Policy

Do you collect data I input into calculators?

We don’t.

By far the most common privacy-related question we get is: do you store the data users input in calculators? The answer is: we neither store nor sell the data you enter into our calculators.

What else should I know?

We don’t do anything that a standard website doesn’t do. Most importantly, we don’t collect any information regarding your identity.

We use cookies in the following ways:

  • We use cookies and localStorage to remember your preferences so that we can adjust our service to your needs in the future. For example, once you input the tax rate in the VAT Calculator, it’s already there when you visit the page again. You have the choice to accept or refuse these cookies, and you can change your preferences at any time.
  • We also use cookies for A/B tests. For example, if we want to see if our users prefer a blue or a green button, we show each to half of our users and see which one gets clicked more often. Cookies help us make sure you stay in the original group on consecutive visits.
  • We monetize the service with ads, which is the best way to keep it free. We use third-party advertising companies to serve these ads. These companies may use information about your visits to our website and other websites that are contained in web cookies and other tracking technologies in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. We have no control over the data that is being collected by advertisers (but again, they do not have access to what you do with calculators). We are not affiliated with any of the advertised websites. We cannot guarantee the safety and privacy of data you provide to any third parties. Any data collected by third parties is not covered by this privacy policy. We are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of any third parties, including other websites, services or applications that may be linked to or from our website. You should review the policies of such third parties and contact them directly to respond to your questions.
  • We use Google Analytics to learn how people use our site, where they come from. That data is anonymized - it can't be tracked back to you.
